Heliski/boarding operation.

Gaining extensive knowledge of the vast terrain that we
cover, the guide is able to select the right terrain for
your ability.

Our safety infrastructure provides you with an unsurpassed level of safety and service. Guides are well trained in avalanche hazard evaluation and control, route selection, weather analysis, emergency first aid, mountain survival, rescue and ski instruction techniques. Radio repeaters give us voice communication throughout the Heliski area. Snowpack and weather are analysed daily and forecasts made accordingly, with slope assessment conducted prior to skiing.

Helicopter &

Andes Heliboarding uses the following helicopters - Ecureuil AS 350 B3, EC 130 B4 and Bell 407.

All of our pilots are highly experienced in high mountain flying conditions and were all trained by the Chilean Air Force.
They have thousands of hours of flight experience.

YOUR HELISKI Safety Equipment

In the field all of our guests are equipped with an ABS airbag pack (Bagpack Freeride) with Avalanche transceiver, shovel, probes and receive a comprehensive safety briefing in their use before skiing and riding commences. Before leaving the DZ your guide and pilot will also brief you on safety in and around the helicopter.

For safety reason, the heliski day will end around 3:00 pm.
